The Missoula All-City Jazz is a fiscally sponsored organization founded in 2017 to provide an opportunity for area high school musicians to work on their skills in an improvisation format separate from their existing high school band programs. The organization is now available to provide an education experience to high school & middle school students throughout the Missoula community.

The All-City season begins in October and runs through May.

All-City Jazz is fiscally sponsored by Arts Missoula.

WELCOME!

On behalf of the Missoula All-City Program and our staff I would like to thank you for your interest and support of this wonderful program. The All-City Jazz Program and our student ensembles for middle school and high school musicians are here to help our wonderful educators and student musicians; bringing confidence, musical growth and student leadership to our community. Students in this program will have an opportunity to work with the region’s finest educators and musicians.

The mission of the Missoula All-City Jazz program is to provide additional improvisation and other creative experiences for instrumental students through jazz education. The musical and leadership skills gained can then be shared with his/her/their music program. These groups rehearse weekly and costs are very reasonable for this educational opportunity.

The All-City season begins in the fall and runs through May.

If you have any questions about the Missoula All-City program or would like to donate to this exceptional experience, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Thanks for your support of jazz education on our community.

Looking forward,

Rob

OUR MISSION

The mission of this program is to provide other opportunities in a creative environment for instrumental students through jazz instruction. The methods that are employed to help enrich the students will be improvisation, creative literature, masterclasses, workshops, and performances with nationally acclaimed musicians. The musical and leadership skills gained can then be shared with their own school programs. These groups will rehearse weekly and perform 2-3 times per academic year.
